次はいくつかの特定の単語について・・・

One (of my brothers) is a musician.

Neither (of my parents) is living.

Much (of my time) is spent in the library.

Each (of my brothers) is able to baby-sit for you tonight.

Nothing ever happens in my life.

Is anyone home?

これらはいつも単数singularになります！

Both (of my parents) are teachers.

Several (of the teachers) speak my language.

Many (of my friends) work in the library.

これらはいつも複数pluralになります！

最後に・・・

以下のものは単数になるときと、複数になるときがあります。

Some (of the money) was missing.

Some (of the students) were missing.

All (of my time) is spent in the library.

All (of my brothers) are singers.

Most (of the ice) was melted.

Most (of the ice cubes) were melted.

A lot (of the work) was too easy.

A lot (of the people) were angry.

None (of the fruit) is fresh.

None (of the apples) are fresh.

この場合、下線部分が単数か複数かで、動詞が決まります！
